The Millmoor Farm provides its guests with a unique holiday experience, allowing them to dip into farm life and at the same time enjoy high-standard comfortable accommodation with an authentic cosy farmhouse ambience.
A cottage on a working farm is an exciting family holiday destination. Children can spend time outdoors, get involved with farm activities, and pet animals, while their parents enjoy a tranquil stay in the beautiful countryside.
The Millmoor Farm is run by the Chesters family. It has six cottages of different sizes that can suit parties up to seven. Three of the cottages are dog-friendly. The Farmhouse Wing, one of the accommodation options, is a modernised 17th-century farmhouse with authentic oak beams and an inglenook fireplace.
The farm has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable family holiday. Guests can enjoy walks with beautiful views of Wales and Shropshire. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a large fridge. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is also a laundry room on the farm that can be used free of charge.
All cottages have outside seating areas. The properties have central heating and are open all year round. Two of the houses have log burners.
Children and adults can watch and participate in seasonal farm activities, such as feeding calves and newborn lambs, collecting eggs, ploughing, haymaking and silaging. Children can get a feel of what life is like on a modern farm and watch the animals – dogs, cats, pigs, goats, sheep, and calves.
“The decor was lovely and on arrival there were mince pies and mulled wine awaiting guests,” said a satisfied client. “All the amenities were great. The farm itself has cows, goats, sheep that can be seen during the stay. The owner was very helpful and friendly.”
