(Newswire.net — April 28, 2021) Orlando, FL — Carrying extra pounds has long been linked with the onset of certain diseases. In a study, it has been found that it affects mental health.

This study was performed by researchers from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark.

In this study, it has been found that carrying ten kilograms of excess body fat causes an increase in the odds of depression by 17 percent.

“This suggests that it is the psychological consequences of being overweight or obese which lead to the increased risk of depression, and not the direct biological effect of the fat,” says study’s last author Dr. Søren Dinesen Østergaard.

He is professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University and affiliated with the Department of Affective Disorders at Aarhus University Hospital.

The findings of this research were published in the Translational Psychiatry journal.

Obesity has long been linked with chronic diseases like heart cardiovascular ailments and diabetes. However in this research, it has been found that it also has psychological consequences.

The investigators suggest that it could be due to factors like negative body image as well as low self-esteem that trigger the increased risk of depression.

Aside from investigating the complications obesity could cause, researchers also look into the best ways to help people shed extra pounds. There are many techniques in managing a healthy weight and they do not necessarily require the use of weight loss products.

There are all-natural remedies scientists found beneficial for weight loss, and these include the use of digestive enzymes.

According to experts, the digestive system is consists of multiple organs that work in breaking down what the body consumes, such as food and drink, into proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and vitamins.

It is worth noting that the nutrients obtained from these foods are then transported via the small intestine to the bloodstream, and this provides the body with energy. In this process, digestive enzymes have been found to play a role.

Digestive enzymes break down fats, proteins, and carbs into easily-absorbable molecules. It is important to realize that incomplete digestion can result in weight gain.

It also leads to widespread inflammation, bloating, gas, and constipation, which can all slow down metabolism.

Digestive enzymes also work in regulating the passage of waste and maintaining the body’s healthy weight.

There are formulas like Divine Bounty Digestive Enzymes that could be useful in delivering the therapeutic goodness of these proteins.

Divine Bounty Digestive Enzymes contain 500 mg of digestive enzymes, namely lipase, amylase, invertase, Glucoamylase, papain, and bromelain. It even has prebiotics, and probiotics.
