(Newswire.net — June 23, 2021) — Canada is a land known and loved for its many merits. From its diverse, progressive, and liberal culture, to native heritage and beautiful nature, there’s much to instill a passion for this freezing land in visitors and natives alike. Canada is usually regarded as a strong but silent nation that is not very loud on the global scene but is certainly powerful enough to influence global pop culture.

Celebrities and Entertainment

Some of the world’s biggest actors have indeed come out of Canada, just so you know! Famous singers Justin Bieber and Drake, Hollywood A-listers Ryan Gosling and Keanu Reeves to comedy geniuses Jim Carrey and Seth Rogen, all trace their roots to Canada. The list goes on.

If you ever visited Canada, you know Canadians are polite, helpful, and well-educated. In fact, Canada is regarded as the world’s most educated country. And while Canadians spend a lot of their time playing sports, they also like to entertain themselves by watching movies, playing games at the best online casino, or listening to music.

Landscapes, Locations, and Heritage Sites

One of the most magnificent ways Canada influenced the global pop culture is through its wondrous landscapes, locations, and heritage sites. Canada is a treasure trove of sights to see, ranging from historical to heritage and natural. When it comes to natural attractions, Niagara Falls is Canada’s most famous, followed by a majestic Banff National Park and the Rocky Mountains. Among man-made attractions, Toronto’s CN Tower and Old Quebec are especially recommended.

Sports

Canadians love sports. They enjoy soccer, basketball, curling, football, and baseball. Still, they’re most famous for ice hockey, which is their official winter sport. As a country with a colder climate, Canada has enjoyed great results at the Winter Olympics and influenced the world with the NHL, which attracts the best players from around the globe. Another popular sport is lacrosse, although it is not much known outside North America.

Maple Syrup and Cuisine

This sweet, gold liquid is one of the most famous Canadian exports and a staple of Canadian culture. Discovery can be attributed to the Iroquois people who are indigenous to NE America. Today, Canada produces 85% of all the maple syrup in the world. If you’ve ever tried it, there’s a good chance it actually came from Canada. Poutine is probably the best-known Canadian dish. It is a brown gravy topped over french fries and cheese curds. Another famous dish is butter tart, a small pastry filled with butter, sugar, syrup, and egg.

Wildlife

Canada has diverse wildlife, and one animal especially stands out – a moose. It happens to be an unofficial symbol of Canada and represents the native wildlife of the country. Some other animals Canada is known about are wolves, polar bears, and grizzly bears.

Fashion

Although New York and Paris are the first to come to mind when you mention fashion, Canada has actually been a big influence on global fashion. This includes brands like Lululemon, which started in Vancouver, and Herschel Supply. However, Canada Goose may be the best-known Canada’s fashion brand thanks to its marketing efforts through Hollywood and celebrities like Ryan Reynolds, Lil Uzi Vert or former Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond who all wore Canada Goose apparel in public or on television.
