This leads to a non-engaging presentation and far too much information on each slide. In a small-group presentation, up to twenty people, it is better to connect with your audience, front-and-center, rather than play second fiddle to a PowerPoint presentation, advises James.

One of the most important techniques that James teaches his participants is how to secure a lead at the end of their presentation. James says, to hope that audience interested members will find you after the presentation is risky. People get busy with their next appointment and your presentation can be quickly forgotten. It is best to secure the lead at the presentation so that you know exactly who to follow up with, he explains.
