(Newswire.net — August 10, 2021) — We thought it was high time someone got round to busting a few misleading CBD myths… so here we are, ready to shine.
CBD oil burst into the healthcare and well-being sector roughly three years ago. Back in 2018, we were suddenly aware that we were surrounded by it. It was everywhere, and countless new businesses sprung up to support the trend.
More than three years later, however, you might have expected that trend to have run its course. This is not the case. CBD oil use is still going strong. If anything, it has grown in popularity as more and more middle-aged demographics are converted to its health benefits.
With all this success, it is difficult to imagine a world without CBD, or one where people haven’t heard of it yet. Nevertheless, some persistent myths and legends are surrounding this health supplement that keeps tripping people up.
We are here to solve that problem, so let’s get on to busting some myths.
CBD Myths and Answers
You would be forgiven for thinking these had all been cleared up by now, but we are still trying to convert the older generations to our ways.
CBD Myth 1: CBD is an Essential Oil
The battle between CBD oil vs. essential oil has been raging for a while now, but we do have some answers. Essential oils are pure extracts from a plant. When we extract CBD, we can’t help but get all the little additional terpenes we can’t filter out. Full-spectrum CBD oils have more of these than concentrated oil, but it doesn’t matter in essential oil. Why? Because CBD isn’t a plant. Hemp is the plant. So you can’t have the essence of a hemp plant if it is just one of the compounds, can you?
They are close, though.
CBD Myth 2: It will make you high
We sincerely hope everyone else on the internet is as sick of hearing this myth as we are and as sick of correcting it. CBD is one of 113 known cannabinoids in the Hemp plant. One of the other 113 is THC, which is the psychoactive component. If you take CBD minus the THC, you can’t get high. There are no psychoactive properties, so any ‘highness’ is all in your head. Sorry!
CBD Myth 3: We Need More Tests To Prove It
This myth is pervading, even after three years of straight testing and numerous scientific papers. Some people out there, for whatever reason, aren’t willing to read the studies even when you open the page for them and put it in front of their eyes.
We have enough studies now. CBD oil works. Why would you argue with science?
Summarizing CBD Myths
We only managed to get through three of the top myths, but this gives you a good insight into what the world of CBD oil currently looks like. It’s a big, booming business, and there are some people that are jealous they didn’t think of it first. Wait until they hear about CBD restaurants, it will blow their minds.
