(Newswire.net — August 17, 2021) Orlando, FL — In the United States, over 795,000 individuals have a stroke yearly. It is also worth mentioning that around 610,000 of these are first or new strokes.

It is worth realizing that this condition has been found to kill around 140,000 people in the United States each year. This is actually equivalent to 1 out of every 20 adults. Further in the country, the costs of this condition are estimated to be $34 billion every year.

Experts warn that the odds of having a first stroke are almost twice as high for African Americans as for Caucasians.

In various areas around the globe, researchers carry out studies to explore more of the various aspects of the stroke.

A study called NeuroVISION carried out by Canadian researchers was published in The Lancet.

In this research, it has been found that silent strokes are common among seniors following elective, non-cardiac surgery. It also tends to double their risk of cognitive decline one year later.

According to researchers, an overt stroke produces obvious symptoms like speech problems lasting for more than a day or weakness in one arm. A covert stroke isn’t obvious except when using MRI or other brain scanning techniques.

Dr. PJ Devereaux, a co-principal investigator of the NeuroVISION study, says they found that ‘silent’ covert strokes are actually more common than overt strokes in people aged 65 or older who have surgery.

Dr. Devereaux is a cardiologist at Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS), professor in the departments of health research methods, evidence, and impact, and medicine at McMaster University, and a senior scientist at the Population Health Research Institute of McMaster University and HHS.

Stroke is a serious condition that needs to be timely and properly treated. It is worth mentioning that there are actually many research studies showing various aspects of this condition, and how it can be naturally prevented.

Interestingly, some natural remedies have been found to work wonders in fighting this highly prevalent condition.

Nutrients like vitamin B12 may be useful. It is worth mentioning that B vitamins have long been studied due to their remarkable healing potentials.

According to Viatcheslav Wlassoff, Ph.D., from BrainBlogger, vitamin B 12 can offer support to stroke recovery.

It is worth mentioning that recovering is all about rewiring the brain via neuroplasticity, which is the reformation and development of brain cells.

B12 works by boosting the proper functioning and development of the brain and nerve cells.

Vitamin B12 can be obtained by consuming certain foods but there are also supplements available. One is Purest Vantage Vitamin B Complex, which gains more and more positive reviews from consumers today.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (amazon.com/Vitamin-B-Complex-90-Capsules/dp/B0773N3MFK).
