( — August 24, 2021) Orlando, FL — Naps have long been considered to be beneficial. In some studies, midday sleep has been found to reduce blood pressure.

Today, statistics reveal that quite a number of people suffer from hypertension in many areas nowadays. This is why it is vital to take helpful measures in warding off the condition.

According to Dr. Manolis Kallistratos, midday sleep appears to lower blood pressure levels at the same magnitude as other lifestyle changes.

Dr. Kallistratos is a cardiologist at Asklepieion General Hospital in Voula, Greece.

It has been found that for each hour of napping, there is a drop in systolic blood pressure by an average of 3 mm Hg. It is worth noting that low-dose intake of blood pressure drugs can reduce levels by an average of 5 to 7 mm Hg.

Nap, on the other hand, can decrease overall blood pressure by an average of 5 mm Hg.

“These findings are important because a drop in blood pressure as small as 2 mm Hg can reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack by up to 10 percent,” Kallistratos said.

Consumers are advised to take a short nap to get these benefits. It is worth realizing sleep allows the body to rest and recover, both of which are beneficial for overall health.

In addition to getting some rest, it is also recommended to resort to the use of some natural remedies. One is Rhodiola Rosea, which is an alpine plant reputed to offer a myriad of healing effects.

For more than a thousand years, it has been used for a range of medicinal purposes. Experts say it works wonders in enhancing the manner cells utilize oxygen to improve energy levels. What makes it all the more beneficial is that it could also regulate blood pressure.

It is worth realizing that Rhodiola possesses many active constituents that can enhance mood and decrease the effects of stress hormones. This in turn can lessen anxiety and reduce high blood pressure.

Scientists carried out a study involving 60 individuals with stress-related fatigue.

The participants were treated with Rhodiola in a dose of 576 mg per day. It has been found they experienced a significant reduction in cortisol responses to stress than the placebo.

What makes it all the more beneficial is that it also decreased fatigue and enhanced mental performance.

Some studies also show Rhodiola exerts varying mechanisms to benefit the heart. Today, there are many people who turn to the use of formulas like Divine Bounty Rhodiola Rosea, which has long been reputed to be highly potent and pure (
