(Newswire.net — August 31, 2021) Orlando, FL — Scientists have long been warning against the various threats to heart health, such as unhealthy dietary and lifestyle practices. It is also worth realizing that some emotions have been found to be detrimental to cardiovascular health.

A study was carried out and presented at the European Society of Cardiology’s annual nursing congress.

The scientists of this interesting study have revealed that loneliness is bad for heart health. This is based on subjects with heart issues and who lived alone during the study. These heart patients also had no one to talk to.

Scientists particularly revealed that they had poorer heart health outcomes than those with more social support.

Nearly 13,500 Dutch patients were involved in this study. All were made to answer questions about their physical and mental health, and even their lifestyle and social networks. They all had existing heart conditions, such as heart failure, heart disease, and arrhythmia, which is an abnormal heart rhythm.

It is similarly worth noting that individuals without someone to talk to in times of need roughly doubled their mortality risk compared to those with support. Those who reported being lonely were thrice more susceptible to experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression.

They also tended to have a lower quality of life. The investigating team has also revealed that males with arrhythmia or heart failure who lived solitarily had poorer mental health than men who lived with someone.

According to the study author, loneliness is a powerful predictor of premature death as well as worse mental health in patients with cardiovascular disease.

It is vital for individuals with or without heart disease to take some measures that could be helpful in warding off loneliness.

It is important to realize that aside from its detrimental effects on heart health, some studies have also shown it is linked with other undesirable health consequences.

Today, scientists are looking not just into the potential culprits of heart disease but also the potential remedies. There are nutrients like B vitamins found to be useful for cardiovascular health.

One of these B vitamins is folic acid, which is often used in fortifying cereals and bread. Folate is a naturally occurring form of vitamin B9. The synthetic form is called folic acid.

Folate can be found in a wide range of nutritious foods, such as dark, leafy greens like spinach, kale, and romaine lettuce. It can also be obtained from cruciferous vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, rapini, and cauliflower.

In fruits, it can be found in oranges, grapefruit, and strawberries.

According to researchers, the combination of folic acid, vitamin B6, and B12 may produce cardiovascular health benefits.

The Harvard School of Public Health even states increasing intake of folate, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12 decreases homocysteine levels in the blood. It is worth mentioning that reducing homocysteine levels is linked with healthy cardiovascular function.

To benefit from these nutrients, it is wise to consider the use of Purest Vantage Vitamin B Complex.
