Following the September commencement of the school year, the launch of new Fall and Winter programs comes as parents throughout Los Angeles select and schedule their children’s after-school activities.
Recent research has highlighted the value of acting classes for young people, with benefits including greater adaptability and confidence, and the acquisition of high-level public speaking and social skills.
Whether a parent has the next Meryl Streep or Leonardo DiCaprio at home, or a newcomer to the field, Studio For Performing Arts LA is confident that their 2021/2 kids and teens programs will provide a highly enriching and positive experience.
As a premier acting studio, participating students will enjoy classes taught by a range of passionate, knowledgeable and friendly industry VIPs. They will learn from the best in the business, from casting professionals to film directors, talent agents and, the students’ usual favorite, celebrity acting coaches.
For younger students, the academy recommends their webinar course, which can be done from home. For teenagers aged 13 and up, face-to-face classes in their professional studio space are preferred.
Whatever the age, experience and aspiration level of a student, the expert teachers at Studio For Performing Arts LA will encourage them to give it their all.
For families that have already filled their extra-curricular calendar for the year, the studio will be holding their popular summer camp in 2022.
The studio offers these programs for young actors of all levels ages 7 and up. Teens older than 16 can register to participate in programs designed for adults.
Walid Chaya is an award-winning director and actor who has recently starred in programs for Hulu, CBS and NBC. He cherishes his role as the head of Studio For Performing Arts LA and relishes the opportunity to work closely with the actors of tomorrow.
One happy young learner at the academy said, “Mr. Walid is one of my favorite mentors, his scene selections and coaching helped me learn about my ‘type’ and improve my acting. Mr. Walid will do everything he can to make the program fun and interesting, I even met my LA Agent through the studio and made new friends that also love performing.”
