(Newswire.net — November 19, 2021) Orlando, FL — ADHD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is undeniably prevalent today, and this is why experts recommend resorting to measures that could aid in reducing this health issue.

According to new research, teens with ADHD are at a heightened risk of an accident in the first month of driving. They are also found to be more prone to driving while intoxicated and moving violations.

Experts strongly recommend the parents of teens with ADHD deal with the topic of teen driving with extra care.

This study was called the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and it was published in Pediatrics.

Aside from driving intoxicated, teens with ADHD have been found to be more prone to neglecting the use of seatbelts and be speeding. It is worth noting that according to research, there was a 62 percent increased crash risk for teen drivers with ADHD.

This has been found to be more likely to happen in the first month after getting licensed. It is further worth noting that the increased risk in the first four years following the grant of a license was by 37 percent.

According to Allison E. Curry, Ph.D., MPH, the lead author, their higher rate of citations suggest that risky driving behaviors may account for why they crash more.

ADHD is often treated through the use of certain medications. However, it is worth noting that experts also say it is vital to consider some nutritional requirements to help fight its symptoms.

Multiple research studies suggest that some nutrients like magnesium may indeed work wonders in helping fight this condition. This macromineral is required for the hundreds of biochemical reactions inside the body.

These particularly include protein synthesis, bone development, DNA synthesis, muscle and nerve function, blood glucose control, and glutathione synthesis.

For brain health, magnesium has been found to influence the function as well as the binding of neurotransmitters to their receptors. These, according to experts, include dopamine and serotonin.

What makes it all the more beneficial is that it could also enhance neurotransmission by endogenous serotonin receptors (5-HT1A). What makes it even more important is that it helps keep the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate within appropriate limits.

This is due to its ability to inhibit NMDA receptors. Scientists further suggest it supports the calming actions of GABA interacting with its receptor.

In a study, it has been found that 58 percent of subjects with ADHD had reduced serum magnesium levels.  It also worked wonders in improving symptoms like physical aggression, muscle rigidity, spasms, instability, attention at school, and twitching improved.

To experience its benefits, it is wise to consider the use of Purest Vantage Magnesium Oil (amazon.com/Pure-Magnesium-Oil-Spray-Transdermal/dp/B011T9TASI ).
