Added Sugar Intake Now Found to Double Production of Fat

(Newswire.net — November 25, 2021) Orlando, FL — Consumption of added sugar has long been linked with undesirable health outcomes. It is worth noting that

A study was carried out by researchers from the University of Zurich (UZH) and the University Hospital Zurich (USZ).

In this study, it has been found that intake of added sugar doubles fat production. It is worth noting that sugar can be found in many food items in the grocery.

In Switzerland, it has been found that it is consumed more than 100 grams daily. Studies have previously examined intake of very high amounts of sugar, and the findings demonstrated even moderate amounts result in the metabolism of test participants.

According to Philipp Gerber, eighty grams of sugar daily, which is equivalent to about 0,8 liters of a normal soft drink, boosts fat production in the liver. And the overactive fat production continues for a longer period of time, even if no more sugar is consumed.

Philipp Gerber is the study leader from the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetology, and Clinical Nutrition.

There were ninety-four healthy young men in the study, and they were divided into two groups. There were those who consumed a beverage sweetened with different types of sugar on a daily basis for a period of seven weeks.

In the beverage was either fructose, glucose, or sucrose, which is table sugar which is a combination of fructose and glucose).

“The body’s own fat production in the liver was twice as high in the fructose group as in the glucose group or the control group — and this was still the case more than twelve hours after the last meal or sugar consumption,” says Gerber.

The particularly surprising result was that sugar boosted fat synthesis slightly more than the same amount of fructose.

There are many diseases associated with sugar intake, especially when done excessively. In addition to regulating the consumption of sugar, it is also recommended to consume more ingredients that can be found in the kitchen.

One is lion’s mane, which is a medicinal mushroom that offers a myriad of health benefits. Some studies have demonstrated its ability to help ward off a range of diseases and disorders.

Today, it is obtained widely through the use of formulas like Divine Bounty Lion’s Mane. This highly potent formula is loaded with the disease-fighting agents of a lion’s mane. It is crafted carefully in an FDA-inspected facility in the U.S. according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines (http://www.amazon.com/Organic-Lions-Mane-Mushroom-Capsules/dp/B07LGR1KN7).
