( — December 23, 2021) Orlando, FL — Health authorities have long been warning against the risk factors of diabetes, such as excessive weight or an unhealthy diet.

Recent research also reveals that air pollution may actually be involved in the risk of having the condition.

This study stems from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and the Veterans Affairs (VA) St. Louis Health Care System.

This new study reveals the link between outdoor air pollution and the increased risk of diabetes on a global scale. The findings of this research raise the possibility that lessening pollution may actually be useful in dropping the cases of diabetes in heavily polluted countries like India.

Such a possibility may also be helpful in less polluted areas like the United States.

The findings of this research were published in The Lancet Planetary Health.

Experts have long warned that diabetes is actually one of the fastest-growing diseases in the world. It affects around 30 million Americans and more than 420 million individuals globally. There are significant risk factors of diabetes, such as an unhealthy diet, obesity, or living a sedentary lifestyle.

“Our research shows a significant link between air pollution and diabetes globally,” said Ziyad Al-Aly, MD.

Al-Aly is the study’s senior author and an assistant professor of medicine at Washington University.

“We found an increased risk, even at low levels of air pollution currently considered safe by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the World Health Organization (WHO). This is important because many industry lobbying groups argue that current levels are too stringent and should be relaxed. Evidence shows that current levels are still not sufficiently safe and need to be tightened.”

More studies are still underway to look into the impacts of poor air quality on human health. However, it remains true that experts the particles in polluted air are linked with a myriad of undesirable health outcomes.

Many people nowadays are also found to have increased levels of toxins inside their system. These toxins can be found not just in the air, but also in water, food, and cosmetic products. The good news is that there are body cleansing remedies available, such as Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal.

Activated charcoal has a highly porous surface that serves as a magnet to toxins and eliminates them from the body. Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal is widely resorted to nowadays by individuals who are trying to reduce their body’s toxic burden.

Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal is used for various purposes, such as digestive health issues and hangovers. (
