Curved monitors are still quite expensive even though they’ve become cheaper than they used to be. However, they may potentially be worth every single penny because they offer a completely different kind of experience compared to what you’re probably used to: as soon as you switch on a monitor like this one, you’ll realize that you won’t ever want to go back to square displays.

The AOC monitor comes with a 24” (1920×1080) display with a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz. The display is curved and the panel is VA so it has a nice contrast ratio, but you also get AMD FreeSync technology. The package includes an HDMI cable, VGA cable, and USB 3.0 cable.
The monitor features a very slim bezel around the screen that gives you an immersive viewing experience. This monitor is great for videos and gaming because of the large screen and high refresh rate.
This model does not include built-in speakers or any USB ports on the side for connecting peripherals such as your keyboard or mouse. It does have a headphone jack on the back of the monitor, though, so you can plug in your headphones directly to the monitor if you have non-USB peripherals that you want to use.
The monitor stand is adjustable so it can be tilted from -5 to 15 degrees or extended out from the base to give you more height adjustment options. It also swivels 90 degrees left or right so you can turn your screen without having to move your entire desk chair to turn the monitor.
Gigabyte G27QC, G32QCA
The G27QC is the smaller of the two monitors and uses a VA panel, which has a much better contrast ratio than an IPS panel. The G32QCA is the larger version and uses an IPS panel, which is generally more desirable for its viewing angles and color reproduction. Both monitors are 2560×1440 but with a different screen size and refresh rate. The G27QC is 27″ with a 165Hz refresh rate. The G32QCA is 32″ with a 75Hz refresh rate.
In addition to the difference in size and specs, there are also differences in appearance. The G27QC has a stand that can be moved vertically, while the G32QCA has a fixed stand with tilt adjustment only.
The model G27QC we purchased had some issues coming out of the box, so we have not been able to test it yet.* It may not be compatible with Mac computers due to its DisplayPort cable requiring an adapter to use it on a Mac computer. However, this cable looks like it can be replaced with any DisplayPort cable that doesn’t have other features (such as USB or power) built into it.
