(Newswire.net — February 22, 2022) Orlando, FL — Alzheimer’s disease and some other neurodegenerative conditions are highly prevalent today. This is why more and more experts are looking into the most effective ways to help reduce its rate.

Scientists at the University of Virginia School of Medicine carried out a study.

In this research, the investigators have discovered a potential reason behind the mysterious death of certain brain cells observed in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases as well as other neurodegenerative conditions.

This study suggests that cells may die due to naturally occurring genetic variations in brain cells. It is worth noting that they were previously assumed to be genetically identical. Such variation is called somatic mosaicism, which explains why neurons found in the temporal lobe are the first to die in cases of Alzheimer’s disease.

In cases of Parkinson’s disease, the dopaminergic neurons are found to be the first to die.

According to Michael McConnell, Ph.D., neuroscientist, this has been a big open question in neuroscience, particularly in various neurodegenerative diseases.

McConnell is from UVA’s Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG).

It is worth realizing that today, quite a number of studies are suggesting that some neurodegenerative diseases may be prevented. While there is no cure yet for these conditions, it is important to realize that keeping the brain healthy may potentially aid in warding them off.

One of the remedies to consider is resveratrol, which has long been studied due to its remarkable brain health effects. This natural healing compound can be found in red wine, blueberries, grapes, and dark chocolate.

A study was carried out and presented at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference 2016 in Toronto, Canada.

One of its mechanisms in fighting Alzheimer’s is its ability to mimic calorie restriction, which has long been known to decrease age-related diseases in animals. Resveratrol has been found to work by releasing the same proteins, which are the sirtuins.

A large clinical trial was carried out in 2015 and published in Neurology.

In this research, it has been found that long-term treatment of resveratrol in individuals with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s appeared to halt or slow the advancement of the condition.

It is also important to note that individuals treated with resveratrol had retained Abeta40 level stability. It is worth realizing that Aberta40 is known to drop as dementia worsens.

While more studies are still being carried out to learn more about resveratrol’s brain health effects, it is hard to deny that its use is widespread.

To experience its healing effects, it is wise to consider the use of Divine Bounty Resveratrol (https://www.amazon.com/Resveratrol-Supplement-Strength-Extract-capsules/dp/B019C0UU5S).
