(Newswire.net — February 23, 2022) Orlando, FL — There are many medications used widely for pain relief. Today, experts are increasingly investigating the various aspects of pain and its connection with certain areas of the body.
A study was carried out by a Montreal-based research team and published in the Pain Journal.
In this research, the investigators found a correlation between a disease that involved chronic pain and changes in the gut microbiome.
It is worth keeping in mind that fibromyalgia happens to 2 to 4 percent of the population and doesn’t have a cure yet. It leads to symptoms like impaired sleep, fatigue, and cognitive health troubles.
Aside from finding alterations in the bacteria, they also found roughly 20 different species of bacteria in either greater or are lesser quantities in the microbiomes of the subjects with fibromyalgia than in the healthy control group.
“We used a range of techniques, including Artificial Intelligence, to confirm that the changes we saw in the microbiomes of fibromyalgia patients were not caused by factors such as diet, medication, physical activity, age, and so on, which are known to affect the microbiome,” says Dr. Amir Minerbi.
Minerbi is from the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), and the first author on the paper. The team also included researchers from McGill University and Université de Montréal as well as others from the Research Institute of the MUHC.
“We found that fibromyalgia and the symptoms of fibromyalgia — pain, fatigue, and cognitive difficulties — contribute more than any of the other factors to the variations we see in the microbiomes of those with the disease,” he added.
The researchers also found a direct correlation between the symptoms and an increased presence or a more pronounced absence of certain bacteria.
There are many factors that contribute to chronic pain. Today, experts are increasingly studying ways to help people manage their pain naturally.
Surprisingly, intake of certain nutrients like B vitamins could be helpful. B vitamins are some of the widely-studied nutrients, and this is due to their disease-fighting potentials.
In some studies, it has been found there are B vitamins that work in battling inflammation and pain. They are obtained widely now through the use of formulas like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex.
It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6. This supplement is highly potent and pure and is accurately labeled.
