(Newswire.net — March 4, 2022) Orlando, FL — Sleep deprivation has long been a subject of research due to its detrimental effects on health. Some studies even suggest it could trigger the onset of certain conditions.

One study was published in Psychosomatic Medicine.

In this research, which was spearheaded by the researchers from the University of Arizona, it has been found a bad sleep at night leads to a spike in blood pressure that night and the day following.

The investigators suggest this may be the reason why sleep issues have been shown to increase the odds of stroke, heart attack, and even death due to cardiovascular diseases.

This study particularly involved 300 men and women between ages 21 and 70 years old. It is also worth mentioning that the subjects had no history of heart problems. The subjects were made to wear portable blood pressure cuffs for two consecutive days.

It has been found that individuals who had reduced sleep efficiency exhibited an increase in blood pressure during that restless night. The findings have also shown they had higher systolic blood pressure the next day.

According to lead study author Caroline Doyle, a graduate student in the UA Department of Psychology, blood pressure is one of the best predictors of cardiovascular health.

More studies are still being encouraged to learn about the impacts of sleep deprivation on overall health. Experts strongly recommend resorting to the measures found significantly helpful in improving sleep quality.

Scientists have been stressing the importance of nourishing the body with a range of nutrients. There are macro minerals like magnesium scientifically found helpful for sleep.

Research suggests that this essential mineral works in assisting the body to produce melatonin, which is a sleep hormone. For individuals who can’t sleep due to muscle tension, magnesium helps offer relief.

This has been found to be due to its remarkable ability to encourage GABA production. It is worth noting GABA works in relaxing the nervous system.

In addition to its sleep health benefits, magnesium has also been found to aid in fighting hypertension. Some studies show it helps reduce blood pressure levels.

Food with higher magnesium content, such as green leafy veggies, pumpkin sesame seeds, spirulina, and Brazil nuts are highly recommended. This macromineral can be particularly helpful for those who want to achieve better sleep.

There are also other useful sources of this mineral and one is Purest Vantage Magnesium Oil. This spray works effectively in delivering the therapeutic goodness of this mineral via the skin (http://amazon.com/Pure-Magnesium-Oil-Spray-Transdermal/dp/B011T9TASI ).
