(Newswire.net — April 11, 2022) Orlando, FL — Today, more and more researchers are studying the alarming rates of superbug contamination.  It is worth noting that these superbugs can be life-threatening.

Research reveals that deadly superbugs, such as E. coli and Staphylococci, are found lurking in over nine in ten make—up bags. Contamination was found in a vast majority of in-use make-up products like mascara, beauty blenders, and lip gloss.

The findings of this interesting research were published in the Journal of Applied Microbiology.

In the United Kingdom, make-up products used by millions of people on a daily basis are contaminated with these deadly bugs. The study suggests that this is due to the fact that most aren’t being cleaned and are even used way beyond their expiry dates.

The study was spearheaded by Dr Amreen Bashir and Professor Peter Lambert of Aston University’s School of Life and Health Sciences has shown.

It is important to note that bacteria actually cause illness that ranges from skin infections to blood poisoning, especially if used near the mouth, eyes, or cuts. The risk is higher in immunocompromised individuals who are more susceptible to contracting infections from opportunistic bacteria.

Researchers revealed that the highest levels of potentially harmful bacteria were found in new beauty blenders, which are sponges used in applying skin foundation products. It has been particularly found that 93 percent of them have not been cleaned, despite the fact that over two-thirds of 64 percent are being dropped on the floor at some point during use.

It is worth realizing estimates show these sponges sell over 6.5 million worldwide. They are found to be particularly susceptible to contamination, and this is due to the fact that they are often left damp after use.

More needs to be done to help educate consumers and the make-up industry as a whole about the need to wash beauty blenders regularly and dry them thoroughly, as well as the risks of using make-up beyond its expiry date.”

Superbugs are also linked with the increasing rates of UTIs, which necessitate the use of antibiotics. Individuals who want to lessen their risk of the infection may turn to the use of D-mannose, which is a UTI-fighting sugar.

In taking advantage of the health benefits linked with this therapeutic remedy, it is wise to take into account the use of Divine Bounty D-mannose. This carefully-crafted formula is believed widely to be one of the most potent sources of D-mannose.
