(Newswire.net — April 19, 2022) Orlando, FL — Sleep issues are quite common today, and they continue to cause an alarm to many health experts. There are various aspects of sleep that experts investigate, such as how environmental factors influence it.

Researchers from the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) carried out a study.

They looked into the effects of light pollution on the formation of melatonin in humans and vertebrates. In this study, it has been found that even the low light intensities of urban skyglow can suppress the production of melatonin.

It is worth noting that melatonin could synchronize the day-night rhythm in humans and animals. It works in adjusting the circadian clocks of cells, tissues, and organs, and regulating other seasonal processes like reproduction.

Experts reveal that in invertebrates, photoreceptors were used to see the differences in light levels. At high light levels, the production of melatonin is suppressed and in darkness, it is produced.

The first author Dr. Maja Grubisic from IGB Berlin says surprisingly, the low light levels of skyglow are sufficient to suppress melatonin production in several vertebrate classes.

More studies are still being carried out to learn about the important aspects of sleep. Experts strongly recommend resorting to some helpful measures in improving sleep quantity and quality.

In various research studies, the investigators suggest that making dietary and lifestyle improvements could be extremely helpful in enhancing sleep quality and quantity. It is important to realize that these measures are also significantly helpful for various aspects of health.

Certain remedies are being widely investigated by sleep scientists nowadays. These include the use of certain nutrients like B vitamins. One of these nutrients is vitamin B3, which is also called niacin.

Experts have long stressed that adequate levels of niacin in the body are needed for the brain and central nervous system. It is worth mentioning this nutrient is also utilized in DNA repairs and functions.

Some studies have shown that intake of niacin aids in improving sleep quality. A deficiency in this nutrient may increase the odds of certain health issues that trigger symptoms of insomnia.

Another important sleep nutrient is vitamin B6, which is also called pyridoxine. It is worth mentioning this nutrient is considered to be a precursor to tryptophan and GABA, which are found to be contributors to sleep health.

To benefit from the sleep health effects of these nutrients, it is wise to consider the use of formulas like Purest Vantage Vitamin B Complex.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (www.amazon.com/Vitamin-B-Complex-90-Capsules/dp/B0773N3MFK ).
