(Newswire.net — May 31, 2022) Orlando, FL — Regular exercise has long been associated with a myriad of health benefits. While it is generally found to be helpful to everyone, a study has shown some people are benefited more.
Investigators at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) carried out a study, which has shown why some people reap more benefits from exercising than others.
The findings of this research were published in Nature Metabolism.
Such study results may be useful in determining the certain types of exercise most likely to produce benefits to a particular individual. They could also help identify new therapeutic targets for diseases associated with metabolism.
“While groups as a whole benefit from exercise, the variability in responses between any two individuals undergoing the very same exercise regimen is actually quite striking. For example, some may experience improved endurance while others will see improved blood sugar levels,” said senior corresponding author Robert E. Gerszten, MD, Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at BIDMC.
“To date, no aspects of an individual’s baseline clinical profile allow us to predict beforehand who is most likely to derive a significant cardiorespiratory fitness benefit from exercise training.”
The first author Jeremy Robbins, MD, of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at BIDMC, measured the blood levels of roughly 5,000 proteins in 650 sedentary adults before and after they were subjected to a 20-week endurance exercise program.
“We were particularly interested in looking at proteins in the blood to study the effects of exercise because there is a growing body of evidence showing that exercise stimulates the secretion of chemicals into circulation that can impart their effects on distant organs,” Robbins said.
More studies are still being carried out to look into the impacts of exercise. Time and again researchers recommend it is vital to take the measures helpful in adhering to an exercise routine.
This is due to the fact that a sedentary lifestyle is associated with an increased risk of diseases.
Experts strongly recommend engaging in exercise for preventive health purposes. Individuals who want to enhance their exercise performance and adherence may benefit from the use of L-Carnitine. This widely studied remedy has long been used through supplementation due to its remarkable healing benefits.
Research has shown that L-Carnitine aids in the transport of fat, especially the long-chain fatty acids, into the mitochondria of cells. Once there, the fatty acids are used as fuel and this means L-Carnitine helps improve energy levels needed for exercise.
Today, more and more consumers turn to the use of extra-strength supplements like Divine Bounty L-Carnitine (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XF7K9MM).
