( — June 17, 2022) Las Vegas, NV — Health authorities have long been stressing the importance of getting adequate sleep, especially in individuals who suffer from conditions like diabetes.

In a recent study, it has been found that diabetes sufferers who sleep poorly tend to have higher blood glucose levels. What makes poor sleep all the more detrimental is that it could also make diabetes management more difficult.

The study is published in the May issue of Diabetes Care.

In this research, the investigators compared 40 individuals with type 2 diabetes to 531 people without blood sugar disease.

Study leader Kristen Knutson said they found that in those with diabetes, there was an association between poor sleep quality and worse glucose measures.

Knutson is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Chicago.

The investigators found individuals with diabetes who had sleeping difficulties also had a higher fasting blood glucose level of 23 percent. Further, they had a 48 percent higher fasting insulin level and an 82 percent higher insulin resistance than the normal sleepers with diabetes.

It is further worth noting that type 2 diabetes sufferers who are overweight may have impaired sleep quality.

Today, as the rate of diabetes continues to soar, more and more experts are stressing the importance of taking some measures to reduce its risk.

Unfortunately, many people nowadays are sleep-deprived. This is why it is vital to take the steps proven helpful in enhancing sleep.

It is worth realizing that according to some studies, certain phytochemicals like curcumin could work wonders in helping protect against sleep deprivation.

Scientists reveal that the use of this polyphenol led to the protection of 72-hour sleep-deprived mice from sleep deprivation symptoms. Curcumin treatment for five days has significantly inhibited impairment in locomotor activities.

It is important to note that curcumin has long been reputed to work wonders in fighting diseases due to its healing agents.

According to experts, curcumin has the ability to decrease inflammatory cytokines, which pertain to small proteins released by the immune system.

It is also worth realizing that cytokines are known to reduce the production of the brain’s sleep-generating hormones. Intake of curcumin may potentially decrease inflammatory cytokines and inflammation in the body.

This could work wonders in increasing the sleep-activating hormones to achieve quality slumber.

To experience its sleep-enhancing benefits, it is wise to consider the use of formulas like Incredipure Curcumin. This amazing formula has been found useful in providing the disease-fighting and sleep-enhancing benefits of curcumin.
