(Newswire.net — June 20, 2022) Orlando, FL — Today, there are many studies that reveal how food preferences could help ward off diseases like diabetes. It is worth noting that this condition is quite common and has remained incurable.

One of the studies highlighting the link between food choices and diabetes prevention was published in The BMJ.

It was carried out by a team of European researchers and was based on 9,754 adults who developed new-onset type 2 diabetes. There was also a comparison group of 13,662 adults who remained free of diabetes during follow-up from among 340,234 participants.

They all took part in the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC)-InterAct study in eight European countries.

It has been found that there is an association between increased consumption of healthy foods and the reduced odds of type 2 diabetes onset. These foods particularly include fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

The findings have shown that even a modest increase in the consumption of these foods as an adjunct to a healthy diet could aid in the prevention of type 2 diabetes.

The investigating team studied the association between the blood levels of vitamin C and carotenoids with the odds of type 2 diabetes onset. It is worth keeping in mind these pigments called carotenoids are abundantly found in colorful fruits and vegetables.

It has been particularly found those whose biomarker score was in the top 20 percent of the population have a decreased risk of 50 percent compared to individuals with the lowest composite biomarker score.

The findings have also shown there was an intermediate risk in the participants with biomarker scores between these two extremes. Further, there was a link between every 66 grams per day increase in total fruit and vegetable intake and a 25 percent lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

An increasing number of studies are looking into the various ways to help reduce the rates of diabetes. This condition has long been notoriously known for the complications it produces if poorly managed.

Today, experts are increasingly investigating the impacts of taking certain vitamins in increasing protection against diabetes. There are nutrients like B Vitamins found to be useful in warding off the condition.

B vitamins like B12, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, and Folic Acid have long been studied by researchers. Their use is associated with increased protection against a range of medical conditions.

To benefit from the use of these nutrients, it is wise to consider formulas like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
