Researchers Now Suggest Sudden Stress Increases Heart Disease Risk

(Newswire.net — July 8, 2022) Orlando, FL — In multiple research studies and clinical trials, researchers warn that chronic stress could eventually wreak havoc on health. In recent research, it has been linked with heart disease.

This study has shown that sudden psychological stress can slow down the ability of fat molecules to leave the bloodstream. It is worth noting that this increases the risk of heart disease.

According to Ohio State University psychologist Catherine Stoney, the lead author of the study, they already know that under chronic stress, like illness, cholesterol levels go up.

“And it was thought those increases were related to behavioral changes, like not exercising or poor eating habits,” she adds.

The results of the study, which was sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and Ohio State’s General Clinic Research Center, appear in the current issue of Psychophysiology.

Experts warn against the acute stressors that occur in daily life, such as worrying about a potential late appointment, traffic, or anxiety about a presentation at work.

Dr. Richard A. Stein says that this is an important study because it shows how clearing fatty acids from the bloodstream is altered by stress. It’s one more little piece in the puzzle of the mind-body connection [between stress and heart disease].

Stein is chief of cardiology at Brooklyn Hospital Medical Center and national spokesman for the American Heart Association.

The scientific community makes strong efforts to find some effective ways in reducing heart disease risk. It is worth realizing that many researchers have been stressing the importance of following healthy dietary and lifestyle practices to protect the heart.

It is also worth realizing that some natural remedies like curcumin have been found beneficial for heart health. The antioxidant, anti-platelet, and anti-inflammatory actions of curcumin have been found to benefit heart health.

More particularly, it has been found to have positive impacts on calcium homeostasis, which is beneficial against cardiac arrhythmia. The inflammation-fighting properties of this polyphenol have also been found to inhibit inflammatory cytokines.

It could even aid in preventing the migration of immune cells to the inflammation site.

Another mechanism curcumin has been found to work against heart disease is its antioxidant powers. Its antioxidants are comparable to vitamins C and E, which have been found beneficial for various aspects of heart health.

Scientists also suggest curcumin could offer protection against heart attacks. In addition to its multiple heart health benefits, curcumin has been reputed to work wonders in delivering a range of healing benefits.

One formula found to be highly useful in delivering its healing goodness is Incredipure Curcumin, which has long been reputed to be highly potent and pure (http://amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Supplement-BioPerine-Capsule/dp/B0166KAW8M).
