(Newswire.net — August 2, 2022) — Extra Mile Recovery has opened a residential addiction treatment center for women in Tishomingo, MS. The private center offers a safe space and gender-specific therapies for women in recovery.

Extra Mile Recovery has announced the opening of a new, women’s-only residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment center in Tishomingo, MS. Situated on a private, modern farmhouse estate, the women’s center focuses on evidence-based treatment, individualized and holistic therapies, and creating a peaceful, non-judgmental space to support women in recovery.

“We’re extremely proud to have built a safe and comfortable addiction treatment center that focuses on empowering women with the tools and resources they need to heal and achieve lifelong sobriety,” said Scott Smith, founder of Extra Mile Recovery. “We took the same principles, values, and commitment to quality, affordable care from our men’s facility, and applied them here so we can go the “extra mile” for our women clients now too.”

The private Tishomingo estate provides gender-specific programming that helps clients explore and address the underlying causes of their substance use disorder, as well as any co-occurring mental health disorders, like anxiety, depression, or PTSD. Led by an experienced clinical team, Extra Mile Recovery uses evidence-based therapy modalities to support their client’s unique needs, including the groundbreaking Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) technique for treating the effects of trauma in addiction.

Clients can undergo a 30, 60, or 90-day residential program where they openly discuss how addiction has impacted their lives, and work through the challenges of recovery alongside other women in similar situations. Extra Mile Recovery also offers a specialized Chronic Relapse Program for those who have attempted traditional rehab models without long-term success.

“I’ve been where our clients are, in the throes of addiction. My wife has been there too,” said Scott Smith. “Those of us who lead Extra Mile Recovery truly understand how addiction can take over your life. That’s why we’ve personalized and tailored our programs to each individual — we know firsthand this process is different for everyone.”

The team at Extra Mile Recovery said they are committed to creating safe spaces and providing attentive care to help their clients thrive in sobriety. As of July 1, they are accepting new clients at their Tishomingo women’s recovery center.
