Experts Warn Toxic Metals May Clog the Arteries

(Newswire.net — August 31, 2022) Orlando, FL — Health authorities have long been warning against exposure to dangerous substances and toxic metals, which are associated with a myriad of undesirable health outcomes.

Research has shown a link in between environmental exposure to low-levels of certain toxic metals and the heightened risk of plaque buildup in arteries in the heart, neck, and legs. It is worth noting these toxic metals are arsenic and cadmium, which have long been considered to be cardiovascular risk factors.

The findings of this research were published in the American Heart Association’s journal Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology (ATVB).

According to experts, traces of metal may get inside the body through contaminated soil in food, through drinking water, tobacco smoke or air pollutants.

It is worth mentioning that arsenic and cadmium can be found in food and tobacco, while arsenic is present in water. Exposure to titanium may stem from screws, pacemaker encasings, dental and orthopedic implants, cosmetic products and some foods.

“Metals are ubiquitous in the environment, and people are chronically exposed to low levels of metal,” said lead investigator of the study Maria Grau-Perez, M.Sc.,

Grau-Perez is from the Institute for Biomedical Research Hospital Clinic de Valencia INCLIVA in Valencia, Spain, and a Ph.D. candidate in the department of preventive medicine, public health and microbiology at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, in Spain.

“According to the World Health Organization, 31% of the cardiovascular disease burden in the world could be avoided if we could eliminate environmental pollutants.”

Study co-author Maria Tellez-Plaza, M.D., Ph.D., said that current global environmental, occupational and food safety standards for cadmium, arsenic and other metals may be insufficient to protect the population from metal-related adverse health effects.

Tellez-Plaza is a senior scientist at the National Center for Epidemiology and the Instituto de Salud Carlos III in Madrid, Spain.

“Metal exposure prevention and mitigation has the potential to substantially improve the way we prevent and treat cardiovascular disease.”

Today, scientists continue to investigate on the dangers of toxins and heavy metals and how they can wreak havoc on health. It is important to take the measures that can help reduce exposure to these toxins.

It may also helpful to detoxify the system and one way to do this is to use a formula called Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal.

Activated charcoal has long been studied on due to its highly porous surface that acts as a cleaning material. Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal may help lessen the body’s toxic burden and may even produce digestive health benefits. (www.amazon.com/Organic-Activated-Charcoal-Capsules-Whitening/dp/B071NZ5G56)
