New Research Finds the Body Suppresses Inflammation During Night Time Sleep

( — September 9, 2022) Orlando, FL — Inflammation has long been widely studied by researchers and is thought to be dangerous to health when it gets chronic. Some studies look into the ability of the body to help reduce levels of inflammation.

One is published in The FASEB Journal.

In this research, it has been found that the body’s biological clock creates a certain protein called cryptochrome, which actively represses inflammatory pathways within the affected limbs during the night.

The researchers suggest that such a protein has proven anti-inflammatory effects in cultured cells. The findings of this research presents new opportunities to develop drugs that could be useful in the treatment of inflammatory conditions like arthritis.

According to Julie Gibbs, Ph.D., by understanding how the biological clock regulates inflammation, we can begin to develop new treatments, which might exploit this knowledge.

Gibbs is a researcher involved in the work and arthritis research UK career development fellow at the Centre for Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Institute of Human Development at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

“Furthermore, by adapting the time of day at which current drug therapies are administered, we may be able to make them more effective,” she adds.

The study findings are a reminder of how important it is to take some measures that could help reduce or manage inflammation levels inside the body.

There are anti-inflammatory medications widely used for conditions linked to inflammation. However, experts have long been warning against the side effects carried along with using them.

The good news is that according to researchers, certain natural compounds could work wonderfully as strong anti-inflammatories.

One is a component in red wine and grapes called resveratrol, which has demonstrated its ability to control inflammation induced by a bacterial pathogen. It is worth realizing this pathogen is associated with upper respiratory tract inflammatory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), and middle ear infection (otitis media).

This is according to a study by researchers at Georgia State University. The findings of this research were published in Scientific Reports.

Some experts suggest that resveratrol has the ability to suppress inflammation, but it has remained a mystery how it works in doing so.

Aside from its anti-inflammatory effects, resveratrol has further been found to be a strong antioxidant. This is another major reason why it is highly therapeutic.

Supplements like Purest Vantage Resveratrol may be an excellent choice for individuals who want to experience the therapeutic goodness of this anti-inflammatory (
