(Newswire.net — September 22, 2022) Orlando, FL — Research studies have long been highlighting the protective health benefits of a healthy diet, which is basically made up of plant-based foods.
A study has even shown that consuming more nutritious, plant-based foods could produce heart health benefits for people of any age.
The findings of this research were published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, which is an open-access journal of the American Heart Association.
Two separate studies analyzed different measures of healthy plant food intake. Scientists actually found that both young adults and postmenopausal women had fewer heart attacks when they ate more healthy plant-based foods.
Further, the investigators reveal that they were also at a reduced likelihood of developing cardiovascular disease.
The American Heart Association Diet and Lifestyle Recommendations advised having an overall healthy dietary pattern emphasizing a variety of fruits and vegetables, low-fat dairy products, whole grains, skinless poultry and fish, nuts and legumes, and non-tropical vegetable oils.
Further, they recommend limiting the intake of trans fat, saturated fat, red meat, sodium, sweets, and sugary drinks.
One study was titled “A Plant-Centered Diet and Risk of Incident Cardiovascular Disease during Young to Middle Adulthood.”
Yuni Choi, Ph.D., and colleagues looked into diet and the occurrence of heart disease in 4,946 adults enrolled in the Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults (CARDIA) study.
Further, it is worth noting that the participants were 18- to 30 years old at the time of enrollment (1985-1986) in this study. During that time, they were free of cardiovascular disease.
“Earlier research was focused on single nutrients or single foods, yet there is little data about a plant-centered diet and the long-term risk of cardiovascular disease,” said Yuni Choi, Ph.D.
Choi is the lead author of the young adult study and a postdoctoral researcher in the division of epidemiology and community health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health in Minneapolis.
Over the years, scientists have been investigating the remedies helpful in increasing heart health protection. Making dietary and lifestyle improvements have long been known to be vital for cardiovascular health.
There are also some remedies like the use of a medicinal mushroom called lion’s mane that may be helpful. This therapeutic remedy has been found to have several disease-fighting agents. Studies have further shown that it works in producing heart health benefits.
It is widely obtained today through the use of extra-strength supplements like Divine Bounty Lion’s Mane. This highly potent and pure formula continues to receive positive reviews from satisfied consumers today (amazon.com/Organic-Lions-Mane-Mushroom-Capsules/dp/B07LGR1KN7).
