(Newswire.net — September 22, 2022) Orlando, FL — Preventable yet common hormonal health issues like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) continue to catch the fancy of the scientific community. Today, more and more researchers are carrying out studies to look into the various aspects of this condition.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is now found to be a principal cause of infertility. It is worth noting that this condition affects up to 13 percent of women of their reproductive age in non-Indigenous and one in three Indigenous women.
It is a complex condition that is considered to be difficult to be accurately diagnosed.
The global Australian-led guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of the primary cause of infertility in women will be published simultaneously in three international journals.
The guideline was published in three international journals: Clinical Endocrinology; Human Reproduction and Fertility and Sterility
The international engagement was spearheaded by Monash University’s Professor Helena Teede and it involved more than 3500 consumers and health professionals from 71 countries. It identified major gaps for sufferers of this condition.
These include delays of up to two years in the diagnosis and a lack of sufficient information for women with PCOS.
According to Professor Teede, PCOS is a multi-faceted condition. It comes with reproductive, metabolic, and psychological features that often mean the diagnosis is delayed and treatment is often not holistic.
“Opportunities for prevention, treatment, and improved health outcomes including in infertility and pregnancy health are missed,” she added.
Monash University’s Professor Teede heads the national NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in PCOS. She has also led the International Evidence-Based Guideline on Assessment and Management of PCOS across 37 societies and consumer groups from 71 countries.
“It is now vital to get the key guideline messages out to as broad a range of health professionals and women with PCOS as possible to translate this work into improved health outcomes for affected women,” said Monash University’s Assoc Prof Jacqueline Boyle and Dr. Rhonda Garad who lead the international translation of the guidelines.
The rates of diseases and disorders like PCOS continue to increase worldwide. However, it is worth mentioning that the scientific community is increasingly highlighting the disease-fighting benefits of plant compounds like Diindolylmethane (DIM).
DIM has been found to normalize hormone levels, and this is helpful considering that excess estrogen leads to hormonal imbalance symptoms. Superior-quality and highly potent supplements like Purest Vantage DIM are widely resorted to nowadays.
It is popularized by its 250mg Diindolylmethane Plus BioPerine and Dong Quai and the customer satisfaction guarantee it comes with.(amazon.com/DIM-Diindolylmethane-250mg-Per-Capsule/dp/B072C46H29)
