(Newswire.net — September 30, 2022) Orlando, FL — The pandemic has brought sickness and death worldwide. Experts are also increasingly looking into how it wreaks havoc on mental health and the effects of certain coping strategies.

A study was carried out and published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

According to this Penn State research, the early days of the pandemic played a major role in the widespread mental health issues in the United States. However, they also found that certain coping techniques were associated with positive mental health.

These techniques include wearing of masks and focusing on self-care.

“The results may give clues about how people can continue to cope with the pandemic, as well as which populations may need extra care and assistance,” said Erina MacGeorge, professor of communication arts and sciences.

Following the announcement of the World Health Organization on Covid-19 being a global pandemic last year, governments implemented a cascade of measures to slow the spread. These include school and business closures and social distancing requirements.

“As individuals, we can help bolster our own mental health by protecting ourselves from COVID-19 as much as possible — like with social distancing, hand-washing, and mask-wearing — by seeking support when we need it, and choosing activities that keep us moving forward, such as looking for safe ways to have fun and help others,” MacGeorge said.

The investigators said that these measures took part in the high levels of stress people experienced. Stress has been found to be due to fear of the disease itself and also other factors like problems finding child care, financial stress, and separation from friends and family, among others.

Since the pandemic broke out, health experts have been increasingly stressing the relevance of taking some measures helpful in boosting the body’s defenses. This could be particularly helpful in fighting the potentially fatal effects of Covid-19.

There are many ways to maintain immune system health, and one is to stay mentally well. Being depressed, lonely, or stressed out has long been found detrimental to immunity. There are also many other diseases associated with mental health issues.

It could be helpful to consider the use of nutrients like B vitamins, which are essential for body functioning and certain processes. In some studies, it has been found intake of certain B vitamins helped in reducing depression and anxiety.

Some extra-strength supplements like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex could be extremely helpful in delivering the healing goodness of these nutrients.

It contains Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Choline, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (www.amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
