(Newswire.net — November 1, 2022) Orlando, FL — Years of research have shown that yoga may produce a myriad of health benefits. There have even been studies showing it could ward off diseases and improve disease symptoms.

One study has particularly shown a link in between yoga and improved symptoms in heart patients. More particularly, yoga postures and breathing could help sufferers of atrial fibrillation manage their symptoms.

It is important to note that atrial fibrillation is actually the most common heart rhythm disorder. In Europe and the U.S., it is found that one in four middle-aged adults will develop this condition, which accounts for 20 percent to 30 percent of all stroke cases.

Further, this disease increases the risk of death by 1.5-fold in men and 2-fold in women.

The research was presented at ESC Congress 2020.

When this condition develops, it leads to symptoms like shortness of breath, palpitations, racing or irregular pulse, tiredness, chest pain, and dizziness.

“The symptoms of atrial fibrillation can be distressing. They come and go, causing many patients to feel anxious and limiting their ability to live a normal life,” said study author Dr. Naresh Sen of HG SMS Hospital, Jaipur, India.

The researchers tried to see whether yoga has the ability to ease symptoms in individuals with atrial fibrillation. The study involved 538 patients who were enrolled from 2012 to 2017 and served as their own controls.

It is worth noting that for 12 weeks, they did not do yoga, and then for 16 weeks the patients engaged in 30-minute yoga sessions every other day that included postures and breathing.  They were also encouraged to practice the movements and breathing at home every day during the yoga period.

Dr. Sen said: “Our study suggests that yoga has wide-ranging physical and mental health benefits for patients with atrial fibrillation and could be added on top of usual therapies.”

Multiple research studies have shown that yoga offers many health benefits. There are even studies showing that it could work wonders in helping the body manage a healthy weight.

In enhancing yoga adherence and performance, it may be wise to take into account the use of Divine Bounty L-Carnitine. This remedy has long been studied due to its remarkable healing benefits.
