(Newswire.net — October 29, 2022) — Sports fans are in for a treat in November, with a host of top-class events scheduled to take place around the world over the next few weeks.
The standout event is undoubtedly the World Cup in Qatar, where 32 international soccer teams will battle to lift the sport’s most prestigious trophy.
If wall-to-wall soccer coverage leaves you feeling uninspired, there are plenty of other sports staging events you cannot afford to miss.
Read on as we take a closer look at what’s on the agenda for sports fans during November 2022.
Soccer – Champions League
Some of the most valuable teams in sports today have one last chance to book their place in the Champions League knockout stage in early November.
Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are amongst the big European teams that have yet to guarantee their spot in the round of 16.
A victory for Spurs at Marseille would secure the top spot in Group D, while a draw would be enough to ensure qualification for the next phase.
Milan can qualify for the knockout stage with a win or draw against RB Salzburg, but a victory for the Austrian side would send them through instead.
Horse Racing – Breeders’ Cup
Horse racing takes center stage a few days later as the prestigious Breeders’ Cup World Championships take place at Keeneland Racetrack.
The event makes a quick return to Kentucky after being staged at the same venue two years ago and will once again be a thrilling affair.
There will be five Breeders’ Cup races on a ten-race card on ‘Future Stars Friday’ which features some of the best young equine talents on the planet.
‘Championship Saturday’ has nine Breeders’ Cup events on a 12-race card which is headlined by the iconic $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic.
Motorsports – Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The culmination of the 2022 Formula 1 season in Abu Dhabi is always one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the annual motorsports calendar.
While Max Verstappen has already clinched the Drivers’ Championship, there are still plenty of issues to be decided further down the grid.
Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez are embroiled in an epic battle to clinch the second spot, with just two points separating them with three races remaining.
Lewis Hamilton will also be eager to end the season on a high note and prove he still has what it takes to compete with the best in F1.
Soccer – World Cup
Fans across the globe will be clamoring to find reliable soccer streaming sites when the 2022 World Cup in Qatar gets underway in November.
Brazil is the favorite to win the tournament for the sixth time, but plenty of other teams have a genuine chance of getting their hands on the trophy.
They include France, who head into the tournament as reigning champions and will be keen to secure their third World Cup success.
Argentina, Spain, and Germany are amongst the other main contenders to emerge victorious at the end of four thrilling weeks of top-class soccer.
NFL – San Francisco 49ers vs Arizona Cardinals
The NFL’s International Series returns to Mexico City in November as the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals go head-to-head at the Aztec Stadium.
The two sides featured in the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Mexico City in October 2005, with the Cardinals recording a 31-14 victory.
The Cardinals defeated the 49ers twice last season and will be keen to secure another win to boost their chances of progressing to the playoffs.
However, the 49ers are also keen to book their place in the post-season, setting up what promises to be an exciting encounter in Mexico.
