Dr. Fredric Barr, M.D. Supports KidSanctuary Campus

Barr, M.D., F.A.C.S., and his Patient Coordinator Carla Pisani have been active supporters of KidSanctuary Campus since its inception, serving as co-chairs for previous years’ fundraising events. The 9th Annual Holiday Hoedown by the Sea takes place on December 9th at 6:30 pm at the Pelican Club in Jupiter, Florida where you can enjoy a Spirits & Luxury raffle followed by delicious food paired perfectly alongside wines or cocktails.

KidSanctuary Campus Timeline 

In 2009, Connie Frankino learned that the local foster care system was in crisis with dozens of children in Palm Beach County removed from their homes each month due to abuse and neglect. These hurting kids felt unloved or abandoned, and she decided to do something about it. Realizing it would take a team to achieve her mission, she brought in Place of Hope as managers/owners to run all programs at KidSanctuary Campus. Today, this emergency shelter has housed 133 teenagers and provided support services such as mental health counseling, when necessary.

On August 1, 2022, Frankino and the Board donated the campus and transferred ownership to Place of Hope to continue to offer refuge, healing, love, and a brighter future for Palm Beach County youth.

“I’m humbled and honored to support KidSanctuary Campus, Place of Hope, and the 9th Annual Holiday Hoedown,” Barr says. “Since its inception in Palm Beach County, over 133 children have been saved from abuse or neglect, thanks to this organization’s efforts with our local foster system.
