Mounting Evidence Highlights Link Between Bedtime and Heart Health

(Newswire.net — November 28, 2022) Orlando, FL — Over decades, studies have shown some contributing factors of heart disease and remedies helpful in protecting overall cardiovascular well-being. Scientists continue to warn against the poor health outcomes linked with a weakened heart.

Mounting evidence now highlights the association between bedtime and heart health. The investigators of this research have particularly revealed that sleeping between 10:00 and 11:00 pm is correlated with a reduced risk of developing heart disease compared to earlier or later bedtimes.

The findings of this research were published European Heart Journal — Digital Health, a journal of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).

“The body has a 24-hour internal clock, called circadian rhythm, that helps regulate physical and mental functioning,” said study author Dr. David Plans of the University of Exeter, UK.

“While we cannot conclude causation from our study, the results suggest that early or late bedtimes may be more likely to disrupt the body clock, with adverse consequences for cardiovascular health.”

A number of analyses have looked into the association between sleep duration and cardiovascular disease. However, the relationship between sleep timing and heart disease has remained underexplored.

This research included 88,026 individuals in the UK Biobank recruited between 2006 and 2010.

“Our study indicates that the optimum time to go to sleep is at a specific point in the body’s 24-hour cycle and deviations may be detrimental to health. The riskiest time was after midnight, potentially because it may reduce the likelihood of seeing morning light, which resets the body clock,” Dr. Plans said.

“While the findings do not show causality, sleep timing has emerged as a potential cardiac risk factor — independent of other risk factors and sleep characteristics. If our findings are confirmed in other studies, sleep timing and basic sleep hygiene could be a low-cost public health target for lowering the risk of heart disease.”

Today, studies looking into the various aspects of heart health continue to increase. While it is undeniably true that medications are helpful, there are also all-natural ingredients like curcumin found to be particularly beneficial.

Scientific studies have shown that the intake of curcumin led to significant heart health improvements due to the phytochemical’s ability to boost endothelial function. What makes it all the more beneficial is that it may reverse the process involved in the onset of heart disease.

Taking advantage of the healing goodness of this remedy may be made through the use of VitaBreeze Curcumin. It offers 750 mg of curcumin plus black pepper extract for maximum absorption  (https://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00JA4TLTI/).
