(Newswire.net — November 28, 2022) Orlando, FL — Over the years, scientists have been investigating the impacts of sleep on various aspects of health.

A study was carried out by sleep experts at the University of South Australia.

In this research, it has been found that sleep is associated intrinsically with mental health. However, health practitioners tend to overlook it as a contributing factor.

The findings of this research serve as a reminder to parents about the significance of getting adequate sleep in teenagers. It cautions that insufficient sleep has negative effects on mental health.

“Getting enough sleep is important for all of us ¬¬- it helps our physical and mental health, boosts our immunity, and ensures we can function well on a daily basis,” Dr. Agostini said.

This research was carried out by UniSA sleep experts Dr. Alex Agostini and Dr. Stephanie Centofanti.

“But for teenagers, sleep is especially critical because they’re at an age where they’re going through a whole range of physical, social, and developmental changes, all of which depend on enough sleep.”

Research has shown that teenagers actually need a minimum of eight hours of sleep every night. Without this, they have a reduced ability to deal with stressors like bullying or social pressures. It also increases the odds of behavioral issues, and even depression and anxiety.

“If sleep drops to less than six hours a night, research shows that teens are twice as likely to engage in risky behaviors such as dangerous driving, marijuana, alcohol or tobacco use, risky sexual behavior, and other aggressive or harmful activities.”

Over the years, researchers have been looking into the remedies helpful for mental health. There have even been many studies showing that nutrients like B vitamins are particularly useful.

A study was carried out and published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology.

In this research, it has been shown there is a correlation between a decrease in vitamin B12 and increased depression. Further, high levels of vitamin B12 may be linked with better depression treatment outcomes.

Experts say that this must have something to do with the effects of vitamin B12 on the serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin aids in regulating mood, and reduced levels of serotonin may be associated with depression.

There are many studies recommending that the intake of B vitamins is vital for overall health and protection. These nutrients are vital in the different processes inside the body, and their deficiencies are linked with a myriad of undesirable health issues.

Formulas like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex deliver the healing goodness of these nutrients.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
