Matt Giordano, otherwise known as The Yogi Matt, announces that his 300-hour yoga teacher online training is now open for enrollment. The next program will begin on February 18, 2023.

The newly launched 300-hour yoga teacher training is a comprehensive program that covers Giordano’s R.E.A.L. principles: refining practicing and teaching skills, expanding knowledge, aligning professional teaching path, and leading through development. The course will feature several lessons on anatomy, biomechanics, philosophy, intelligent sequencing, meditation, and business marketing.

The new online training is divided into four modules. The first module details the biomechanics of yoga instruction and will be an 85-hour review of techniques, anatomy, and self-adjustments. The second module, which will also be 85 hours long, discusses the philosophy of yoga and the importance of sutras. The third module is an 80-hour instruction of Matt Giordano’s special form of yoga, Chromatic Yoga. Lastly, students learn how to build a successful business grounded in leadership in a 50-hour course.

The program is self-paced, with weekly timelines to keep students on track for an 8 month (or less) completion time. There will be community meetings held online every first and third weekend of the month. Students will also be assigned a mentor for 6 months at no cost. The mentorship will begin 6 weeks after the official start date, during the start of module 2.

Students will also receive weekly trackers and emails to help them stay focused on their goals. As such, students will be required to have at least a Gmail and Facebook account, a smartphone with a working camera, and stable internet. Three yoga instruction books will be assigned, which need to be read and understood.

The training is Yoga Alliance-Certified under the Matt Giordano School of Yoga.

Giordano writes, “I share what I consider to be a unique style of yoga that places a huge emphasis on technique and sensation-based physical awareness. All of my workshops have a target sensation based on one or more muscle activations. While I often sequence to a peak posture, the emphasis is more on what I call a “peak action.” My goal is that students walk out understanding something new about their body.”
