The latest announcement is in line with the company’s vision of designing and manufacturing high-quality, functioning, show-piece coffee machines that bring to life the historical art of brewing coffee from the 1800s.
Coffee drinking became prominent during this time period and brewers experimented with different instruments that allowed them to brew coffee without boiling the water, which degraded the quality of the coffee.
By 1842 the balancing coffee siphon had been invented and the idea quickly spread across high society in Europe. Royal Paris focuses on recreating the engineering of these balancing coffee siphons that combined fire, steam, pressure, vacuum, and gravity to produce exquisite coffee.
The company boast of royal lineage, the design having proved popular with royalty and wealthy collectors since the late 1850s. Royal Paris continues to produce custom-made coffee makers from this period.
Each new luxury machine is handcrafted by award-winning Parisian artist Jean-Luc Rieutort, taking approximately 50 hours to make. The machines feature two pieces of Baccarat glass imported from Nancy, France, where each piece is mouth-blown, etched, and hand-painted in 24-carat gold.
The limited-edition machines can be customized to suit a client’s requirements. For the base, there is a range of semi-precious stone materials available to choose from including malachite, black obsidian, and lapis lazuli, which are produced and custom-polished in Germany.
To finish, the machines are plated at a well-established fine jewelry company in Paris. Customers can choose between a gold, silver, or bi-color finish.
In addition to making coffee, the high-end bespoke items make interesting conversation pieces and ideal Christmas gifts. They are available for purchase on the company’s website alongside their other collections and coffee products.
Speaking of their new and exclusive product, Royal Paris states, “Elevate every moment and celebrate life at its highest level with the world’s most exquisite coffee machine.”
