At Milan Institute of Cosmetology – El Paso, the Barbering program has been approved by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences (NACCAS). The morning/afternoon program will begin on May 1, 2023, and the evening program will begin on June 5, 2023.

Ben Corchado, Director of Operations for Milan Institute, was excited to announce the expansion of the Barbering program to Texas. Corchado said, “We are so excited to bring the Barbering program to our Texas campuses. We know students in Texas are motivated to enter this field, and we are so pleased to be able to offer the El Paso and San Antonio communities this great program.”

Barbers are experts in the practice of hairstyling, beard shaving, and trimming. The Barbering program at Milan Institute and Milan Institute of Cosmetology provides students with the basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes necessary to take the State Board examination and for entry-level positions as a barber or in a related career field. Students receive the practical training needed to provide hairdressing, hairstyling, and shaving services.

The Barbering program at Milan Institute and Milan Institute of Cosmetology’s Texas campuses is a 1000-hour program, designed to be achievable in as few as 34 weeks. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to take the State Board examination for licensure, and qualify for entry-level positions as barbers or in a related career field.

Milan Institute and Milan Institute of Cosmetology specialize in offering career training programs for careers in the beauty and healthcare fields.
