Germany took in 350,000 international students for the winter semester of 2021-2022, representing an 8% increase over the previous year. The country’s ongoing push to attract more students who might stay in Germany for work and permanent residency comes in response to demographic trends: the new coalition government has identified the labor shortage as one of the major obstacles to economic growth.

International students are increasingly choosing to study in Germany, particularly since the nation scrapped tuition fees for post-secondary institutions. Additionally, language barriers are dissolving because more than 1,300 German master’s programs are offered in English and are intended for students from other countries. At the same time, German businesses are having trouble filling positions, and many are providing benefits like free lunches or on-site childcare in addition to cash incentives to retain workers for longer.

Y-Axis Middle East helps student visa applicants choose which visa type of visa to apply for and which university programs. For example, 30 percent of international students enrolled in the universities of applied sciences during the past year – meeting some of the skill sets in highest demand – and landing at prestigious schools like IU International University of Applied Sciences and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). More than 350 universities offering more than 800 courses are available to students in the UAE.

The immigration consultancy offers professional counseling as well as coaching services and live classes to help students score well on their required exams. Y-Axis Middle East maintains an accredited IELTS testing center at its Dubai campus.
