Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy (873-363-1028), a training center with four locations across Canada, has launched new courses in Edmonton that help students with limited or no previous experience become acne specialists.
The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy has launched training programs for medical aesthetics that range from basic beginner courses to master medical aesthetician certification, as well as several options for learning about specialized injection treatments.
More information about the Aesthetics Academy, the full list of courses, and the requirements for the basic beginner course can be found at https://dermysk.com/pages/academy
The new courses allow students to receive a unique combination of at-home learning, in-class studies, and hands-on experience, designed by the Dermysk Academy teaching team. The combination of learning styles helps students to maximize their education, without requiring strict attendance or schedules for the majority of the class.
While every student must complete the full course to become certified, including the at-home modules, this hybrid learning style lets students learn at their own pace, and at their own convenience. The new flexible courses allow students to complete their medical aesthetics training even while they are working another job, taking care of a family, or otherwise occupied during regular business hours.
In the basic course, students will cover everything required to begin providing basic aesthetic treatments, in a safe, controlled, and experienced manner. The course includes one week of hands-on training with a skilled specialist and allows students to gain real-world experience working with clients in a supervised environment.
By the end of the basic course, students will be proficient in a wide range of basic procedures, including laser hair removal, photorejuvenation, chemical peels, and acne treatments. Students will also learn about the biology behind hair and skin care treatments, the physics behind laser procedures, and basic business strategies for medical aesthetic clinics.
While individual class sizes may vary, the teaching staff aims to keep all classes to a minimum size. This ensures that every student receives personalized attention and one-on-one instruction to gain proficiency in each individual treatment at their own pace.
A spokesperson for the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy explained, “Our courses will make you ready for real-world practice on day one after graduation. You’ll also receive individualized business advice and support before graduation. Our students gain lifelong access to our connections and expertise to maximize your success in the marketplace.”
