Las Vegas, NV – Lisa and Carlos, long-time friends of David Tyreman, have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help fund a life-saving liver transplant for David, who has been diagnosed with Stage-4 Liver Disease. The campaign, titled “How to Create a Kick-Ass Liver,” is named after David’s book “WORLD FAMOUS: How to Create a Kick-Ass Brand,” which has helped inspire and motivate countless people over the years.
David Tyreman is an exceptional public speaker, a master on stage, and a powerhouse of knowledge, experience, and know-how. However, his liver disease has taken a toll on his body, leaving him with no energy and unable to work much for over a year. Despite having insurance, the cost of treating liver disease is expensive, and David’s doctors have recommended a liver transplant as his best chance of recovery.
Lisa and Carlos have organized the GoFundMe campaign to help raise funds for David’s liver transplant and other associated costs, including liver ‘TIPS’ treatment in San Francisco, additional patient expenses not covered by insurance, weekly home care, physical therapy, special dietary requirements, cost of living, and contingency expenses.
David’s MELD score, a liver disease scoring system created by the Mayo Institute, is 16, and his doctors have recommended ‘TIPS’ treatment due to the serious side effects of his disease. Without a transplant, David must undergo a weekly treatment called paracentesis, which takes several days of recovery and makes it difficult for him to work.
Lisa and Carlos are asking everyone who has ever watched David speak, read his book, or enjoyed his advice to contribute to the campaign and help keep David alive. Their goal is to ensure that David has the resources he needs to undergo the life-saving liver transplant and recover fully.
