Montreal-based pillow manufacturer Pilloo recently expanded its customizable pillow design service.
With the expansion, customers are now able to turn their favourite photos and images into high-quality custom-shaped pillows using Pilloo’s online design tool. The pillows are all handcrafted using wrinkle-free polyester velvet fabric and printed using earth-friendly, non-toxic inks.

Photos have long been a preferred method of capturing and preserving memories. However, for many people, simple photographs aren’t evocative enough—they need something more vivid and tactile. Pilloo’s custom pillows combine the best of both outlooks, providing the sentimentality of photos while also giving customers something physical to hug and hold onto.
Pilloo offers a few choices as far as their custom pillows. Most popular are their custom-shaped pillows, which are cut and sewn in the shape of the photo the customer provides. For this option, the photos can be of anything, from pets to loved ones. For customers who prefer traditional pillow shapes like squares, rectangles, and circles, Pilloo also can print photos in these styles.
To customize the pillows, customers simply upload their photo to Pilloo’s online design tool, crop and adjust the image as desired, select their pillow size, and generate their mock-up. Once satisfied with the mock-up, the customer submits their order. For all custom pillow orders, shipping and handling time is anywhere from 7 to 15 business days.
All of the pillows are handmade in Montreal. They’re made using 100% high-quality wrinkle-free polyester velvet fabric. The photos are printed using a unique sublimation technique that transfers the environmentally friendly, non-toxic inks permanently into the fabric. The pillows are also hypoallergenic, anti-microbial, and machine washable.
