Courses at the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy (873-363-1028) have been updated to help students access their full medical aesthetician certification and gain experience with real paying clients, without requiring them to quit their existing jobs or attend daily lessons.

The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy uses a unique training program that has been updated with several new online components, which allow students in Ontario to progress through courses at their own pace, before receiving practical, hands-on training from a Dermysk specialist.

Students of the Dermysk Academy will learn how to safely perform popular procedures such as radiofrequency rejuvenation, CoolSculpting, and several techniques that use lasers to improve a client’s skin, remove unwanted hair, or eliminate otherwise permanent tattoos. With the updated online courses, students can complete the majority of their Basic course at home, with only a single week of in-person training required.

By building their academy next to their clinic, the Dermysk team allows students to work with actual clients, while still being fully supervised by an experienced technician at all times. At the end of each course, students will know how to perform a wide variety of medical aesthetic procedures and will have real-world experience with real customers.

While each course is primarily focused on medical aesthetic procedures and techniques, they also include information about legal and regulatory considerations, dealing with problematic clients, and running a business. Each course also acts as a prerequisite for the next, more advanced course, though students may also qualify for advanced courses if they have several years of relevant work experience.

To enroll in the Basic course, students are only required to have a high school diploma or any form of relevant job experience. While this course does require one week of in-person training, the Dermysk team has made as much of the “book learning” available online as possible, so that students can learn at their own pace, or while still otherwise employed.

A Medical Aesthetician Certification from the Dermysk Academy will allow students to begin working with paying clients immediately after their graduation, which is recommended before students reapply for the next level of training. The Basic program certifies students in radiofrequency rejuvenation, chemical peels, micro-needling, laser skin care, and several other popular procedures.

A spokesperson for the Academy explained, “The basic Medical Aesthetics Course is your key to entry into the practice of Medical Aesthetics. This complete course ensures you come out a well-rounded and reliable Medical Aesthetician with a focus on results and safety.”
