The last horse to win the Triple Crown was American Pharaoh in 2015, before that the most notable horse in the Triple Crown was Affirmed who won in 1978. The 2023 Kentucky has already passed, being run on May 6th, and was won by Mage.

In fact, at most bookmakers, We The People have the highest odds at 2-1 to win. But, why is this? To most logical thinkers, this might seem odd. However, once you see the stats on this horse, and his past races, We The People seems like a horse that has tons of potential.
Take note that We The People was not racing in the Kentucky Derby this year, and it could be that it is only for this reason that Mage won the Derby.
So, how does Mage have the best odds for the Preakness Stakes? Well, it is the same thing, We The People are also not racing in Preakness, either, only at the Belmont Stakes. This means that these other 2 races are all open for Mage, but at Belmont, We The People have the odds.

This year, however, things could be very different, with his awesome improvement and race results over the last year, he could very easily soar from 4th to 1st in a year.
Previous Performances
As you can see, We The People have run some incredible races over their career so far, however, in just 9 races, they have won 4 of them and came second once. With a 4th place in their first Belmont Stakes, as well, this bodes well for this year.
Odds For We The People
We The People is a popular horse to win the Belmont Stakes this year. In a field of 8 horses, he was named to be the line favorite, even though some bettors are skeptical.
His odds are 2-1, which is very high standing. Mo Donegal who won last year’s Belmont Stakes is also racing, with odds of 5-2, and Skippylongstocking is also racing, after coming in first in last year’s Peter Pan, with odds of 20-1.
Despite both of these horses having beaten We The People in previous races, his odds are much higher, and have a lot of promise for this race.
Overall
We The People is a fantastic prospect for this year’s Belmont Stakes. While we cannot say that we could guarantee a win, the odds are in his favor, and his track record is very good.
