Vacation Angel is a new waterfront vacation rental listing site promising to improve the way property owners rent their properties.
Their site is www.vacationangel.com
The vacation rental market has long been dominated by large corporate listing sites like, Airbnb, VRBO and Homeaway but this niche newcomer to the vacation rental business is beginning to make waves.
Most waterfront hosts currently list on these sites but are looking for a platform that will not dictate to them how to manage their property between their guests. Many listing sites have recently garnered a bad reputation for making the process of getting support extremely difficult and time-consuming and allowing guests to run roughshod over hosts.
When asked how Vacation Angel came to fruition, developer and CEO, John Paul Pfeiffer says “There are two main things that prompted Vacation Angel. First, my desire to bring the beautiful beaches of Nicaragua to people, and secondly needing a solution to issues I was facing with current listing platforms. As a vacation rental owner for over 20 years, I wanted to develop a site that had all the best features without the problems that I’d been experiencing. I’d literally spend hours over the course of months, to get one simple issue resolved. Recently I had guests show up with double the number of guests they reserved for. I charge a deposit on my account exactly for instances like this. But trying to claim the deposit was an exercise in futility. I was told to wait for emails which never came. I had to call time and time again just to get completely ignored and sent in circles. I was not in control of my own rental business. I read on forums how countless others are having these same issues. I felt there had to be a better way for property owners.”
in 2017, Mr. Pfeiffer purchased a beach house in Pochomil Beach, just months after a 10-day surfing trip to the country. “I fell in love with Nicaragua and its beaches the moment I arrived. I knew this was someplace special that I wanted to be. I knew very little about Nicaragua when I first arrived but after buying property here and getting to know the people, I decided to take on the task of bringing this magnificent land to others through Virtual Tours”
The primary feature that sets Vacation Angel apart from other listing sites is that they bring users beautiful 360 Virtual tours of entire beaches, lakes, ponds, etc. Something no other site has done. Within these virtual tours are the virtual tours of the vacation rentals on the shores. Website visitors exploring Vacation Angel can then book their next rental directly within the tour making for a seamless user experience.
“When I would book a place, oftentimes I had no idea the proximity it was to the waterfront or the layout of the accommodations. I’d have to do extra research or guess. Our virtual tours change that. Now users will know exactly where the place is on water and the exact layout of the property. No surprises. I can’t tell you how many times I booked someplace that said it was Waterfront to end up blocks away or even more.” Pfeiffer said.
For those looking to discover new waterfront destinations, Vacation Angel provides users a better way to get to know both an area and its properties.
Mr. Pfeiffer adds “I wanted people to see what it’s really like here. I have found Nicaraguans to be the most amazing people. Whenever I’ve been in a situation where I needed help, locals seem to come out of the woodwork to help and want nothing in return. Even though I am a foreigner, I feel safe and welcome by everyone here. I want to bring this experience to the world”
Vacation Angel is looking to break into this highly competitive market by making it free for its users to list. The site gets only a 3% fee for reservations they provide their hosts, a much lower fee than even the next lowest Vacation Rental platform on the market today.
Mr. Pfeiffer says: “Over the years I’ve found vacation rental listing sites vastly raising their fees. We want to offer hosts a new option that will save them money, provide more value, and give them just another reason to list and grow with us. My objective is to make Vacation Angel the premier brand for anyone looking to stay on the waterfront. Because we work within a smaller niche we feel we can grow and still keep that personal touch for our users.”
In addition to lower fees, Vacation Angel offers hosts a free virtual tour they can schedule after listing their property. A huge bonus for owners.
The site’s sign-in process is quick and easy and can be done with one click via Facebook or Google. Listing properties typically takes no more than 10 minutes and is generally the same process as most other listing sites. Vacation Angel offers a chat widget where users can get immediate answers from a live person.
On the big sites, waterfront owners are competing with hundreds of other listings, not on the waterfront. With Vacation Angel users are pre-qualified as wanting a waterfront location and owners won’t have to compete with offshore rentals.
Vacation Angel has made sure that every property listed is designated as certified which ensures integrity in their listings and offers waterfront goers confidence when looking for rentals.
Vacation Angel also works well with other listing sites. They make it possible for hosts to sync their availability calendar with that of other listings sites to prevent the problem of double bookings, which can easily happen when hosts list on more than one site.
Vacation Angel is more than just a vacation rental site. It’s loaded with information like local weather, travel tips, surf reports, and videos of local roads and surfing.
For waterfront homeowners, listing with Vacation Angel seems like a no-brainer.
