For anyone with even a passing interest in the world of Dance Movement Therapy, this new development will be worth paying attention to, as it’s set to shake things up in the domain of curing psychological trauma.

Earlier today, FLUX announced the launch of Inside Out, set to go live July 2023 at its Psychological Trauma Centre. For anyone with even a passing interest in the world of Dance Movement Therapy, this new development will be worth paying attention to, as it’s set to shake things up in the domain of curing psychological trauma.

A post published on their site throws more light on this: https://www.thefluxproject.com/inside-out-dance-movement-therapy-course/. They have also uploaded a video on YouTube adding more info to it: https://youtu.be/pSoxV_gTU3k

Currently, with even a passing glance, a person will notice how the same old obsolete messages are being spread in the fields of dance movement therapy and psychological trauma treatment. The Founder at FLUX, Sahiba Singh, makes a point of saying “things are going to change when our Inside Out program launches”.

Sahiba Singh continues… “Where you’ll always see our competitors doing the same old thing, we will provide an authentic movement experience that integrates the psyche and the body. It works with body at the centre of this modality, looking at genuine ways to tap into the intuitive wisdom. This intuitive wisdom lies inside ever evolving, healing and unique human bodies. The said approach is trauma informed and uses the human body as the guiding tool for healing. We do this because we believe we want to stand up for this cause and raise a deep awareness in the process. Ultimately this is going to be a huge benefit to our trainees because it will generate a real world understanding of the anatomy, including the nervous system, endocrine system, skeletal system, muscular system, gut world and connective tissues. It will also generate a real world understanding of trauma through intersectional lens of political, geopolitical, generational, gender, caste, class, race and sociocultural dynamics. All this has never been done before in the domain of dance movement therapy.”

FLUX was established in October 2019. It has been doing business for enough years to know how to create an authentic service which shows real deep and long-lasting effects as its spontaneous results and it has always aimed to raise awareness of how to do away with the feelings trapped inside the body. That’s what psychological trauma is. ‘Inside Out’ is a process with a one point focus on healing from inside out.

Currently, the closest thing to FLUX’s Inside Out service is polyvagal theory of trauma introduced in 1994 by Stephen Porges and being practiced extensively by quite a few insightful people to alleviate human trauma internationally, but FLUX improved on this by adding dance movement therapy using somatic practices, intuitive body work, release technique and breath work, all working holistically towards one main task – a smooth streamlined flow of the healing energy in the body through the spine from the gut to the brain. This alone is predicted to make FLUX’s Inside Out program more popular with trainees in the Dance Movement Therapy space, quickly.
