These training programs from the Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy (647-247-2481) have been updated to allow any student to gain their certification in MedSpa procedures, while completing most of their training online, at their own convenience.

The Dermysk Medical Aesthetics Academy has updated its Basic, Advanced, and Master Medspa training programs to help students complete their certification primarily after-hours, or at their own convenience.

To allow students to complete the majority of their education at home, the courses have been broken into two sections, educational and practical. The optimized classes are available to students anywhere in Canada, though they will be required to attend at least one week in-person at one of the four Dermysk locations across Canada for their practical training.

Using the new course structure, students can complete much of their training while working from anywhere with an internet connection, whenever they have spare time. The Dermysk Academy understands that not all students learn at the same pace, or have significant amounts of time to dedicate to their training, so students can progress at whatever speed suits them, until the beginning of their practical training.

After completing all the educational modules online, students will be asked to schedule their practical portion at the nearest Dermysk Academy, which will take 1 – 2 weeks, depending on the course. During this time, students will be required to attend daily classes where they will gain hands-on experience with medical aesthetic tools, procedures, and clients.

While the procedures taught in each course may vary slightly, each class is optimized to provide complete training, certification, and experience in up to a dozen popular medical aesthetic techniques. Students of the Basic course will earn their certifications for fractional ablation, radiofrequency rejuvenation, laser hair and tattoo removal, micro-blading, and several other common procedures.

To enroll in the Basic course, students will require only a high school diploma or some form of relevant work experience. This Basic course will also act as the prerequisite for the Advanced course, which teaches complex procedures like Cool Sculpting, pigmentation treatments, and laser gynecology.

Alternatively, students may enroll directly in the Master’s level training program to complete the entire set of certifications in one course. While this program does not have any official prerequisites, the Dermysk team reserves the right to limit participation in the Master level course to only certain select, dedicated students.
