To ensure that all students can access these new courses, the Dermysk Academy allows students to complete much of their training online, at their own pace, from anywhere with an internet connection. With the latest updates, students can now become fully certified in up to a dozen popular med spa techniques, with only one week spent in the classroom.
By combining online learning and hands-on training, the Dermysk Academy can help students train for a new career, with minimal impact on their daily lives due to their classes. Students can take as long, or as little as they require to complete the online training, before scheduling their one week of practical training at the nearest Dermysk Academy location.
During the hands-on training, students will work on both synthetic substitutes and actual people, to get real-world experience with each technique, while supervised by a Dermysk training specialist. At the end of the course, graduates will be fully certified to work in a local med spa or open their own home business.
While the Dermysk Academy provides training for all major med spa procedures in Canada, certain injectable cosmetic techniques can only be performed by a licensed nurse or physician. Students without a valid healthcare provider license can still become fully certified in all other techniques, including complex procedures like Body Sculpting and stem cell treatments.
However, these complex techniques are only available through the Dermysk Academy’s Advanced or Master-level training programs. The Advanced program can be accessed by any graduate of the Basic training or anyone with 5 years of med spa experience.
The Master-level program has no prerequisites but is only available to certain highly dedicated students, as it contains all of the content found in both the Basic and Advanced programs, as well as exclusive additional training. Only graduates from this Master-level program will receive a “Master of Medical Aesthetics” certificate, though all students will be enrolled in the Dermysk After-Graduate Support Program.
