According to Christopher, there are three things that players are doing wrong when they walk through the doors of a casino.
The first is that they are entering the casino with a ‘Lottery Mentality’, or trying to get rich quickly by placing sucker side bets. Christopher knows firsthand, what it’s like to enter a casino and throw it all away. Maintaining a positive attitude and checking one’s ego at the door is vital to playing responsibly and walking out a winner.
“About three and a half years ago, I was a rideshare driver and completely broke. My wife was a registered nurse, pregnant with our child, and working 16-hour shifts,” Christopher recalled. “I had just started my career as a gambler and I ended up squandering everything. Our entire life’s savings were gone. We lost our home, and cars and had to sell our jewelry.”
The second thing gamblers are doing wrong is holding too small of a bankroll. Players that walk into a casino with a small bankroll are underfunded and typically can not keep up with the large bets they are trying to make.
