There have been a lot of different situations that have arisen and it seems that the entire nation seems to be in a bit of an uproar. With all of this commotion going on, it’s nice to know what you can do to bring balance back into your life and destress your home and family living. Although not every situation is the same, there is some science as to what you can do to control your stress and turn it into a positive emotion rather than a crippling entity. Some of it has to do with chemical imbalances as well but we’ll go over that.

1.      Keep a clean living space.

It doesn’t matter what outside stressors you have, if you feel like your life is scrambled and you can’t find anything, it’s time to clean. Get the dishes done and keep everything picked up. The more everything is organized on the outside and in your atmosphere, the more peace you’ll feel inside as well. If you study or work from home right now because of Covid, keep a clean desk. Keep papers organized and well kept and refrain from eating at your workstation. Crumbs and bags seem to accumulate quickly and it’s important to keep everything tidy. It also helps to have different stations for different activities. If you’re studying in bed, your brain doesn’t know what time it needs to function to the best of its abilities, and when it’s time to shut down. But, if your bed is simply a place of rest and rejuvenation, it will be easier to sleep at night because your brain knows exactly why you’re in bed.

2.      Meditation.

f you can learn to control your body and your breathing, you’ll be able to very quickly change the way you feel and act. At first, it helps to have help. For example, Meditations gifts for yourself and your loved ones can make a big difference. Some of which include meditation stones or Himalayan salt lamp baskets. Both of these can be used in different ways to help you rest and relax in stressful situations. Meditation rocks are portable and can be kept in your pocket while salt lamps can be used to change the atmosphere of a room and help you clean the air while you exercise, meditate, or relax.

3.      Take care of your hygiene and appearance.

It may seem strange to say, but if you only ever wake up, put on sweats, take care of your tasks, and repeat, you won’t feel as clean as if you woke up, got clean, got ready, had a good breakfast, and took care of yourself physically before you started your work or responsibilities. This in and of itself will not only help you decrease the stress in your home and in your life, but it will also help you to increase in your confidence and feeling of wellness overall. If you feel better about yourself, you’ll feel better about your situation and your surroundings.
