(Newswire.net — March 3, 2016) — The 2016 UEFA European Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2016 or simply Euro 2016, is scheduled to be held in France from June 10th to July 10th 2016 and will be the 15th edition of the UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international men’s soccer championship of Europe organized by UEFA. Aside from the World Cup, this is another major event for soccer fans.

The Euro 2016, like the World Cup, has its own official song. This year the honor of creating and performing the song for this summer’s tournament goes to French DJ and music producer, David Guetta and the song is set to be a hit before it’s even made.

Creating the Euro 2016 official song is not just about songwriting. It is a pseudo-contest for musicians with the goal of making something unique, to top the previous artists who created a song for the Euro tournament.

Since all the artists who are selected to create the song for the UEFA tournament are great, it is quite difficult to launch something new, but Guetta, music ambassador for Euro 2016, has come up with an ambitious plan to unite fans and gather millions of voices from around the world and set a world record for the number of voices in one song.

Gathering millions of people to sing in a studio is next to impossible, but David Guetta has invited everyone to sing from the comfort of his/her home and to send in the recording online, where it can be easily mixed in along with all the other voices.

The creative team behind this project have come up with a web page on which you simply click to hear what you should sing, rehearse it, and then click the recording button and sing it away.

Guetta’s team has made the process simple, making recording your voice for the soundtrack a cakewalk. Guetta asks you to just shout or sing in a recognizable soccer game fashion, so don’t worry if you’re off-key.

Pierre David Guetta, 48-year-old, is a French DJ, record producer and remixer. He co-founded Gum Productions with Lisa Dodgson and released his first album, Just a Little More Love, in 2002. Later, he released Guetta Blaster (2004) and Pop Life (2007) featuring 2 tracks with UK’s Tara McDonald.
