(Newswire.net — August 16, 2017) –“This is a unique and special opportunity to stay in the home of a sitting president,” wrote Airbnb, the popular online home-sharing website, recommending the house where Donald Trump spent the first four years of his life.

The yellow, mock-Tudor townhouse in 85-15 Wareham Place, Jamaica Estates, an upper middle class neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens, can be rented from $725 a night.

The house has five bedrooms, and three and a half bathrooms. In the living room there is a life-size cardboard cutout of Donald Trump sporting a dark suit and red tie.

“He is a great companion for watching Fox News late into the night,” Airbnb wrote and added:

“In 1946, Donald Trump was born to Fred and Mary Trump, and brought home to Jamaica Estates. Here they lived, in a home built by Fred himself. This is their home.”

“Not much has been changed since the Trumps lived here, the kitchen is original and the opulent furnishings represent the style and affluence in which the Trumps would have lived.”

Earlier this year, New York real estate developer Michael Davis sold the former Trump residence in Jamaica Estates to a mystery Chinese woman, for $2.14m. But now Davis is renting it back from her for $4,000 a month and has decided to rent it out on Airbnb.

It has not been announced whether there are any individuals interested in renting, but neighbors say that they do not like this idea at all.

They already have a constant influx of tourists and the media, regardless of the fact that this is a residential neighborhood, and now there will be more people, because the house is being rented like a motel or a hotel.

What does Donald Trump think about all this?

He still did not comment on the issue, but last September, when the house was for sale, he told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, that he wanted to buy it back.

The childhood homes of US presidents are usually turned into museums or libraries, and maybe in the future, it also will happen with Trump’s house.
